THE CHRISTMAS CUP GOLF TOURNAMENT AT LA CANA GOLF COURSE

As we have already established on the blog, 2014 has been a great year for tennis at Puntacana.  It has been an exceptional year for our boleritos, and we also have a great new tennis facility opening soon. It has come to my attention, however, that we haven’t written quite as much about one of the other most important sports in Dominican Republic - GOLF!

It’s no secret that golf is a big deal at PUNTACANA Resort & Club. In fact, a quick look at a map of our property demonstrates just how big of a deal golf is.

There are many golf courses located within the Punta Cana region, but we as PUNTACANA Resort & Club are proud to have the two best world-class golf courses in the area, if that doesn't spike your interest, don't forget that we're also located in paradise. Our courses are part of The Global Golf Tourism  Our Corales golf course was designed by Tom Fazio and features six oceanfront holes, and La Cana golf course located right on the Caribbean with 14 holes that have ocean views.

As if that is not incentive enough to golf at PUNTACANA Resort & Club, we run quite a few events throughout the year to give you new and unique opportunities on the green.  An average year at PUNTACANA Resort features multiple golf tournaments and events designed for people of all levels of skill, and 2014 is no different.  While this year has seen a variety of events and tournaments, we only have one left before we close the books on 2014. 

On Saturday, December 27 at 10:00 AM, we are hosting the Christmas Cup Golf Tournament at La Cana golf course.  The event is open to both members and non-members (though members will receive a discount) and comes with the benefit of drinks and hors d’oeuvres afterwards.  Participants will play nine holes with scramble rules and nine holes with best ball rules, which should keep things moving quickly and fun for everyone.  This is the last golf event of the year at PUNTACANA Resort & Club, and we’re hoping to make it a great one.
