Grupo Puntacana Foundation represented by the Vice-president Jake Kheel was invited as a panelists to speak about sustainable tourism in the world premiere of “Caribbean ‘Green’ Travel: Your Choices Make a Difference" held in Washington D.C.
 
This documentary focuses on the Caribbean -- the most tourism dependent region in the world -- which is typified by large-scale cruise ship and all-inclusive beach resort tourism. This film portrays a different type of Caribbean tourism – innovative, ‘green’ alternatives that protect and sustain the environment and respect and benefit local communities. The 45 minute film showcases a variety of responsible tourism businesses on four islands: Jamaica, Aruba, Grenada, and the Dominican Republic.

The celebration of the Tournament is a milestone not only for the Dominican Republic, but for the Caribbean region as well, due to the importance of the golf event. The agreement with the event organizers is that the tournament will be held in the Dominican Republic between 2016 and 2018.
 
The first “Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship” will be held between May 30 and June 5 of this year. Approximately 156 national and international players will compete for an overall prize of US$625,000.

This innovation seminar was attended by Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) from the Netherlands and the Caribbean region, to exchange expertise and knowledge since they have had the experience of working in active in the field of smart, creative, and green technologies. This conference consisted in 1-on-1 Speed Dates with these innovators and representatives of other innovation related institutions. These speed dates gave guests the chance to ask questions about topics that are relevant to your business.
