We've been very vocal about our Foundations and their efforts at bettering conditions and overall well-being of the Dominican Republic. Earlier this year we posted about The Ecological Foundation's "Fuentes de Vida" project and we are very pleased to share the video made in order to explain "Fuentes de Vida". Obviously, the person behind this beautiful effort and installation is Jake Kheel, our very own super human environmentalist. Fuentes de Vida was a long and tedious undertaking that involved research, planning and hours of dedication. Luckily VirginiaTech students helped us out and helped speed the process along. Apart from the work itself, we had to make sure the community was on the same page and had enough knowledge of the new filtration system in order to maintain it.
We'd like to thank The Community of Domingo Maiz for their interest and persistence, Señor Fidel Pérez, Conmivial,Amado Dominguez, Virginia Tech Civil & Environmental Engineering, Junta de Vecinos Domingo Maíz, Brigada Verde, Chicas Brillantes, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and everyone involved. You have all made a difference, to many people for generations to come. If you'd like to donate to projects such as Fuentes de Vida please visit our Global Giving Page. Thank You.
