It has been a few weeks since we last discussed the great outdoors and the many wonderful things you can do in Punta Cana, but I just so happen to have news of a 45th anniversary celebratory event for all of the adrenaline junkies out there. You’re probably wondering what I’m talking about, but it’s probably better to have professional kiteboarders Susi Mai and Aaron Hadlow do it for me: The aforementioned Red Bull kiteboarder Susi Mai will be joined by fellow athlete Gisela Pulido, and many more foreign and domestic athletes in Punta Cana, one of the hottest up and coming spots for kitesurfing. As Susi explains in our video, Punta Cana is only recently being seen as a hidden gem of the kitesurfing world, and Punta Cana Kite Fest 2015 is a perfect opportunity to see it for yourself.
The event isn’t just for the pros either. While they will have opportunities to compete in events like Freestyle and Big Air, there’s more than enough going on to keep the rest of us interested too. Even if you’ve never kitesurfed a day in your life, you are more than qualified to grab a drink and watch these world class athletes do their thing. There will be plenty of opportunities to spend time on the beach with friends and meet new people. Punta Cana is a bigger destination than ever for kiteboarders, and Kite Fest 2015 will be a good opportunity to see why. From January 23-26 2015, you will get a chance to see world-class athletes in an intimate setting, and when you are done at the beach for the day you will have the entire rest of PUNTACANA Resort and Club, one of the best resorts in the Caribbean, to see, whether you choose to do it on foot or by kite.
