Are you traveling to Punta Cana and looking for the must-do activities? We've assembled our top ten list of things-to-do on your next vacation to the Dominican Republic! 1. Ecological Tour Guess what: this is one of those “best kept secrets” that people are always talking about. The Indigenous Eyes Ecological Park is owned and managed by the Puntacana Ecological Foundation and highlights all of the best aspects of the Foundation. From hikes through a tropical fruit grove to a refreshing dip in a lagoon, there is never a shortage of natural beauty at the Ecological Park. A walk through the park is also 100% kid friendly and ideal for families looking for some great photo opportunities."! 2. Buggy Tour I know what you’re thinking -- the Ecological Tour sounds wonderful, but it also sounds like there might be walking involved. Fear not, because Punta Cana has several companies offering buggy tours through the islands. Expeditions generally range from about four hours to eight hours and show you a lot more of the island than you would be able to see on foot. Enjoy the bumpy ride and keep your fingers crossed for some rain, because a muddy trail is a fun trail. (You might have to just trust us on this.) 3. Paddleboarding This combination of kayaking and surfing is best done early in the morning or in the evening, as you will have the entire ocean to yourself. Waking up early and hitting the water means front row seats to a beautiful sunrise. Hop on a board and look toward the horizon as you take in a spectacular sunrise. You will also earn bragging points for getting up early on vacation to exercise. (Don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone if you did it exclusively to see the sunrise or the sunset.) 4. Catamaran Water Ride Grab your friends. Grab some snorkels. And, perhaps most importantly, grab a drink (or three). The catamaran trip includes a stop at la picina natural, which is a natural, waist-deep pool in the middle of the ocean. Fire up the Bob Marley and let the drinks flow as you relax in the middle of the ocean. Plus, “catamaran” is just a really fun word to say as you’ll realize when you’re recounting this experience to everyone who wasn’t adventurous enough to journey out to "la picina natural" with you. 5. Dinner at La Yola La Yola takes traditional Dominican fare and adds a modern twist. The menu includes fresh seafood and an international wine list, perfect for a romantic night out. There are also numerous options that are vegetarian friendly. Enjoy a wonderful night out with live music and a waterfront view. 6. Gazebo For those who would prefer a more private romantic meal, the Westin has an oceanside gazebo for rent. Surprise your partner with a beachside a la carte Dominican meal and take a moment just for yourselves. The beauty lies in its simplicity. A romantic dinner for two in an oceanside gazebo. What’s not to like? 7. Zip Lines You stand on the edge of the platform looking down at the jungle below. Suddenly, you are weightless and flying from canopy to canopy. Not only will you experience the Anamuya Mountain range in a way that few ever do, you will also learn all about the surrounding area and culture. Part thrill ride and part educational experience. The drive to the mountain range includes a guided tour of the area that you can only get from a local. 8. Kitesurfing If you have ever said to yourself, “I really wish I could harness the power of the wind while I’m surfing,” then I have good news. Kitesurfing lessons are available in Punta Cana and are the perfect way for beginners to get started with the sport or for those with more experience to refine their technique. 9. Deep Sea Diving Lessons Just when you thought you had seen all of the beautiful places in Punta Cana you found out about the coral reefs and the unique ecosystem they support. Lucky you. The best way to experience the reefs is to take a deep sea diving lesson and see it firsthand. For those of you with dive certifications already, there is a special certification that is only available here that will allow you to assist in the coral restoration project in Punta Cana. You can have a spectacular dive and play an important role in coral reef conservation. 10. Horseback Riding near the Beach Enjoy the thrill of the horse with witnessing the beauty of your surroundings. This excursion takes you around uninhabited places including a stretch of sand that runs parallel to Playa Serena! Consider this one a FREEBIE! Check out this awesome Segway video!

This is one of the most simple yet exciting list I have ever seen. While I cannot attest to these activities being as awesome as they look my wife can. She recently went to the DR with some of her friend and has a blast (yes I missed out). However, I would like to visit some day. Thanks for the read.
