What are we talking about this week? What aren’t we talking about this week? Unlike our normal posts in which we explore a single topic in depth, this week we are talking about all the adventures big and small you can find in the ocean at the resort. As you can see from the video, there are a lot of them, so we better get started. We start things off with a bike ride around Punta Cana, which is a great way to see the resort and a great way to get your blood pumping before you get to the ocean. As the video illustrates, once you are at the beach, you have an almost overwhelming number of options for what to do next. For the physically inclined adventurers, how about a little bit of paddle boarding? We wrote about paddle boarding in Dominican Republic a while back, but it’s best described as a combination of kayaking and surfing. Best of all, you get beautiful sunrise views on the resort. (And, again, we cannot overemphasize the bragging rights of waking up early on vacation to exercise.) What if you want to interact a little more directly with the ocean, though? If so, it doesn’t get much better than snorkeling or diving. In addition to having the opportunity to get hands on with a coral restoration project, you get to see all of the gorgeous marine life in the video: stingrays, fish, and coral are only a few of the sights to see in the ocean. For something that you can’t see anywhere else underwater, you can check out our underwater museum, which features sculptures by Don Pimentel, a man whose art you probably already have seen if you remember your trip through our airport. For something a little more low-key, you can check out the lagoon at our Indigenous Eyes Ecological Reserve, which is owned and managed by the Puntacana Ecological Foundation. To say that it is stunning is an understatement as you can see from these pictures. In addition to being a beautiful place to take some photos, it is also an excellent place to relax with friends and family. Finally, we have our Catamaran ride, which is the ultimate in relaxation, because every catamaran ride includes a trip to la piscina natural, a natural, waist-deep pool in the middle of the ocean. It’s the perfect way to end a day of ocean adventures.
